Sometimes I think I should have gone with a pc laptop and Ubuntu, but I know that would have required lots of tinkering and I just don't have the time. The mac really is low maintenance :-) I've been using VLC, which is good but doesn't support the remote. I haven't been using Front Row because I haven't got a Xvid/DivX plugin for QuickTime.
